Public Health Tower Hamlets is writing to let you know about a small number of cases that have been identified as Covid-19 variants of concern in the borough. Public Health England have informed us that these cases have been linked to the Brazil and South Africa Covid-19 variants.
This situation has happened in a lot of areas across the country and is managed by making extra testing available to test people who don’t have symptoms. People who test positive must self-isolate for 10 days to help control the spread of the virus. In order to help identify and contain the spread of the variant, Tower Hamlets Council are offering increased testing to all people over the age of 11 years who live, work, play or study in the Bethnal Green, Stepney Green, St Peters and St Dunstan’s wards (Postcode areas: E1 4** and E1 3** postcode areas and some of E1 0**, E1 1**, E1 2**, E1 5**, E14 7**, E2 0**, E2 6**, E3 4**).
People can check if they are in this area by clicking the link below and entering their postcode.
